HAPPY BIRTHDAY DR. SEUSS

Did you know that Theodor Seuss Geisel would be 111 years old on March 2?  Theodor or Dr. Seuss as we know him today wrote his first book And to Think That I saw It on MULBERRY STREET in 1937 which launched his career as an author and illustrator.  Throughout the years he wrote and illustrated 46 books in his career.  Some of my favorite books are How the Grinch Stole Christmas and The Lorax.
O'Grady will be hosting Judge Jesse Contreras as a Celebrity Reader on May 2.  He will be reading Green Eggs and Ham to the 1st graders. There will also be giveaways in the library to celebrate the life of Dr. Seuss who has inspired and instilled the love of reading among countless generations of children.
Stop by the library to learn more about Dr. Seuss and check out one of your favorite books!
