Dark Emperor and Other Poems of the Night

This book of poems chronicals the events that occur in the wee hours of the night among the animals.  There are a variety of poems that discuss nocturnal animals and what they do during the night.  On the opposite page, nex tto the illustration, are facts about the animal of the poem.  For example, there is a poem titled I am a Baby Porcupette , and on the opposite page are facts about baby porcupettes and their transformation to adults.  This is a  very interesting book about animals in poetry form.
