How to Survive Middle School

 How to Survive Middle School is the story of David,  a boy starting middle school who is not popular and does not feel as cool as some of the other guys.  He begins to post videos he creates on YouTube and is eventually befriended by a girl named Sophie who likes his videos and gets the word out about them.  He becomes an internet sensation and is a local celebrity.  His biggest fan is his Bubbe or his grandmother whose character I really like in this whole book and steps in to take the place of his mother who abandoned him and his father.  In the end he comes to terms with his mother leaving him and the death of his beloved hamster.
Overall How to Surviver Middle School is a light hearted book that kind of reminds me of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series, but without the mom holding the family together. HILARIOUS!!!!!!!
